The Obligatory Links Page
This is a rather eccentric collection of links. Some of the sites are good introductions to my fandoms; others belong to my favorite authors. A few are sites whose URLs I forget on a regular basis. I needed to collect them somewhere online, and I'm doing so here with hopes that other people will find them interesting too.
Linux/Programming
- Debian GNU/Linux: The best Linux distro out there, in my opinion.
Harry Potter
JAG
Navy NCIS
Stargate SG-1
Reference Sites:
- GateWorld: My favorite site for spoilers, episode summaries, interviews, etc. Also includes the Stargate Omnipedia.
- Arduinna's Stargate SG-1 Handbook: A good introduction to the series and an excellent reference manual for details about characters, races, the SGC, and more.
Fanfic:
- Area 52: SG-1 fandom's largest slash archive.
- Heliopolis : SG-1 fandom's largest gen archive. Heliopolis 2 is its sister archive with het adult fanfic. Both remind me of Fanfiction.net in that the signal-to-noise ratio is lower than it has any business being, but they're useful archives if you don't mind doing some digging.
- Fanfiction by Quercus: One of my favorite SG-1 authors, who, sadly, is no longer writing. Jack/Daniel and Sam/Teal'c. If you don't have time for anything else, read "The Seduction of Samantha Carter" and "Only Love Survives".
- Emerald City: Fanfic by Denise. She writes Sam/Teal'c! Other pairings too, as well as gen.
- RocketChick's Homepage: Sam/Janet fanfic and gorgeous wallpapers.
- Adi's Writings and Ramblings: Adi writes Sam fanfic, mostly Sam/Janet and Sam/Teal'c. "Burning Soldier: Lost at Sea" is one of the most disturbing SG-1 stories I've ever read. That's a good thing, really.
